We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with a current Counterbalance Licence to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role is vital to maintaining smooth warehouse functions and ensuring timely processing of goods. The ideal applicant will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting with precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain forklift safety and functionality
• Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols during loading and unloading activities
• Assist in organising stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation
• Support inventory counts and cycle counts as required
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence with proven experience in forklift operation
• Prior warehouse experience, including materials handling and shipping & receiving tasks
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, up to specified weight limits
• Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and measurement tasks
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and stock organisation
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks effectively
