We are seeking dedicated and proactive Tree Nursery Assistants to join our clients horticultural team on temporary basis. In this vital role, you will support the cultivation, maintenance, and care of a diverse range of trees within our clients nursery environment. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of healthy, thriving specimens that meet quality standards for landscaping, reforestation, or conservation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, practical skills in horticulture and equipment maintenance, and a passion for environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, transplanting, and pruning of trees to promote healthy growth and development
• Operate irrigation systems efficiently to ensure optimal soil moisture levels
• Use hand tools
• Measure plant growth and record data accurately using basic math skills for inventory management
• Handle heavy lifting of trees and materials safely to support daily operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery to promote a safe working environment
• Conduct general horticultural tasks such as soil preparation, fertilization, and pest control under supervision
• Assist with equipment repair and troubleshooting to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Prior experience or training in horticulture, forestry, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
