Based at Biggleswade and reporting to the Shift Leader, you will work 12-hour shifts Tuesday–Thursday, plus 17 flexi shifts a year.
35 weeks: 36 hours over three 12-hour shifts, Tuesday–Thursday.
17 weeks a year: 48 hours a week (four 12-hour shifts, adding Monday or Friday)
18:00 to 06:00
This role offers the opportunity to work across line processing and packing, supporting flexible operations while training, coaching, and developing other Multi-skilled Operatives.
The Shift Leader is looking for someone who can:
- Model safe working, challenge unsafe behaviour, resolve minor machine faults, and guide others through problem-solving.
- Support trainees with fault-finding, encourage learning, and contribute proactively to training and continuous improvement.
- Uphold FSQ, hygiene, documentation, and checking standards, promoting team compliance and a safe, clean workplace.
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to SOPs and SSOW, ensuring quality, minimising waste, and completing checks, records, and training on time.
- Equip trainees and operators to work safely, correctly, and efficiently so the line meets its targets.
- Handle raw materials and pack products using specified machinery.
