We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is a key role responsible for leading high-level recruitment assignments across the Retail sector, building and managing strong client relationships, and playing an integral part in the delivery of our talent acquisition strategy.
As a Senior Consultant, you will take full ownership of projects, lead end-to-end search assignments, and mentor junior team members. The role requires strong commercial acumen, client-facing experience, and the ability to deliver against targets in a fast-paced and evolving Executive Search environment.
You will work closely with our Research team to ensure first-class project delivery while also contributing to business development and account growth in alignment with Gillespie Manners’ structured sales approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership and accountability for project delivery and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of roles through proactive collaboration with the Business Development team, following the Gillespie Manners sales funnel process.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing client accounts, negotiating commercial terms where necessary.
- Deliver high-quality executive search assignments within agreed deadlines, consistently exceeding client and candidate expectations.
- Follow our Prince2-based project management methodology, including research, longlisting, headhunting, candidate management, client engagement, and post-project reviews.
- Attend industry events and conferences, including opportunities for international travel, to strengthen client relationships and market insight.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, supporting their development through coaching and training initiatives.
- Promote best practice and efficient use of our CRM system, across the business.
- Manage your workload effectively and independently, ensuring all administrative and reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner.
- Actively contribute to a high-performance culture aligned with Gillespie Manners’ core values.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience or a proven track record in a comparable B2B sales or consultative environment.
- Demonstrable success in managing full-cycle recruitment assignments, ideally within Executive Search.
- Experience managing and developing client accounts.
