Our Client is the global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance conveying and seasoning systems for the food industry. They are a family run business with over 50 years of experience in providing bespoke solutions from the best engineers in the industry. Their equipment is designed and manufactured in-house at our custom-built UK sites in Gamlingay and Biggleswade, providing end to end control to meet exacting standards and exceed industry expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Goods in
- Ensure accurate and timely bookings
- Ensure the goods in trolley is cleared daily
- Ensure QCP procedures are followed
- Report discrepancies and liaise with purchasing on returns.
Picking:
- Ensure picklists are picked in a timely and controlled manner
- Ensure clear feedback goes to designers regarding pick list errors
- Ensure purchasing are chased for shortages.
Spares:
- Ensure that spares orders are picked in a timely manner
- Ensure that spares are packed appropriately and photographed where necessary
- Report non or late collections to spares admin by 4pm.
Stock Accuracy:
- Work to optimise stock accuracy across the business
- Organise weekly stock checks and reconciliations for raw materials
- Organise additional ad-hoc stock checks whenever possible
- Ensure that stores is kept clean, orderly and tidy
- Provide additional support in the run up to stocktake or at particularly busy times.
Stores Team Supervision:
- To identify and discuss overtime requirements with your line manager
- Training of Stores personnel
- Ensuring that procedures are being followed, and equipment being checked
- Ensuring that the team are working safely.
- Address informal HR matters, involving stores personnel, with support from your line manager
Hatch:
- Ensure a prompt service at the factory and goods in hatch
- Ensure that procedures are followed for hatch requests
- Maintain a friendly professional presence but discourage lingering and chatting.
Person specification:
- Suggest and implement improvements to working practice
- To show understanding and discretion when dealing with personnel issues
- Maintain high customer service and show professionalism in your role when dealing with colleagues from all departments
- Other reasonable duties as required by your line manager
- To be able to share information, provide support and work well with all other members of the business.
